LSA Magazine is the alumni magazine of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan. For the Fall 2019 edition, I illustrated the feature story, Open House. I used abstract, hand-drawn shapes, patterns, and textures to conceptually represent the diverse challenges that students face once admitted to the University. The student experience is layered, unpredictable, and often challenging. The colors, textures, and layering of elements help tell that story visually. The illustrations were then modified to be used as the cover art of the magazine, titled All In.
